SUMMARY:Member Webinar: The AI Factor - Mastering the Application Process
DESCRIPTION:The Australian job market has shifted. Applications are often screened by algorithms before a recruiter or hiring manager ever sees them\, while interview expectations are more rigorous than ever. For many expats\, this adds another layer of challenge – international experience needs to be reframed for the Australian market\, biases toward local experience or age can creep in\, and without strong networks\, even getting to ‘first base’ (the interview) can feel out of reach. \n\n\n\nIn this session\, we welcome career and interview coach Leah Lambart\, founder of Relaunch Me. Her recent article Why You Might Be Hearing Crickets struck a chord with many professionals navigating today’s tech-driven recruitment landscape. \n\n\n\nIn this webinar\, Leah and I will dive into practical strategies for navigating today’s tech-driven application process\, tackling bias\, and approaching interviews with confidence. With insider insights into what employers’ value and proven tools you can put into practice\, this session will help you cut through the noise and take action with clarity. \n\n\n\nKey topics include: \n\n\n\n\nThe AI factor in today’s hiring climate: How applicant tracking systems (ATS) and AI tools filter candidates – and what you can do to ensure your CV\, LinkedIn\, and applications work with (not against) the algorithms in today’s market.  \n\n\n\nInterviewing successfully in Australia: How to navigate different formats – from panel interviews to case studies\, presentations\, and video/AI assessments. Tips for answering ‘tricky’ questions (career breaks\, salary expectations\, return-to-Australia narratives) and striking the right balance between confidence and humility.\n\n\n\nPositioning Experience & Overcoming Bias: For returning expats and mid-career professionals\, international and senior experience can be both an asset and a barrier. Learn how to reframe your expertise in ways that resonate locally\, reduce bias triggers around age or ‘overqualification\,’ and project confidence through clear positioning in both online and in-person interviews.\n\n\n\nResilience in the Job Search:Why rejection is common in a tech – and volume-driven hiring system\, and how to maintain motivation\, confidence\, and momentum through the ups and downs of today’s career journey.\n\n\n\n\nWhat you’ll walk away with: \n\n\n\n\nA clearer understanding of how to navigate today’s tech-driven recruitment process – and how to stop your CV from being rejected before it’s even read.\n\n\n\nPractical interview strategies tailored to the Australian context\, helping you prepare for panels\, ‘tricky’ questions\, and new formats like video/AI interviews.\n\n\n\nTools to reframe international and senior experience so it’s seen as an advantage\, not a barrier.\n\n\n\nConfidence-building techniques and a mindset to stay resilient through the ups and downs of the job search.\n\n\n\n\nBring your questions – we’ll close with time for live Q&A. \n\n\n\nThis session will be recorded and added to our video library. \n\n\n\n\nNot a member yet?\n\n\n\nJoin us for this webinar (and plenty more like it) while connecting with a like-minded community and unlocking all member benefits. \n\n\n\nMembership is flexible\, and you can opt out anytime. \n\n\n\n\nJoin

SUMMARY:Learning Labs (Member Event): Positioning - Nailing your story and your proposition
DESCRIPTION:Learning Labs are short\, practical sessions designed to take a deeper dive into some of the tools and frameworks that sit inside the InSync platform. \n\n\n\nIn our very first lunchtime Learning Lab\, we’ll kick off with The Positioning Matrix – a simple yet powerful framework to help you answer those all-important questions like:💬 “Tell me a bit about yourself”💬 “What are you looking for?” \n\n\n\nWe’ll explore how to use it in both the BBQ context (think casual\, social conversations) and in more formal settings such as interviews or professional networking meetings. \n\n\n\nAs we all know\, these questions can be surprisingly tricky to answer – especially when you’re trying to do it succinctly\, in a way that builds connection and invites input… all within 2–3 minutes! But whether you’re exploring your next day job\, considering a board role\, or strengthening critical stakeholder relationships internally\, positioning matters. \n\n\n\n📄 Download the positioning matrix guide and template and have a bit of a play with it ahead of the session – and be sure to have a blank template ready to complete during the session. \n\n\n\nAnd keep an eye out – we’ll be rolling out more Labs through to the end of the year\, each designed to help you turn insight into action and build confidence in the moments that matter most. we’ll close with time for live Q&A. \n\n\n\nThis session will be recorded and added to our video library. \n\n\n\nMembers please sign into the Circle platform and register to receive the details.
